Standards and General Guidelines

The following material defines the standards for general game play interacting with specific NPC types. Bear in mind any prices listed are the starting base price and may actually be higher or lower dependent on circumstances.

Training

Training requires ONE MONTH of game time and for a PC is required under the following circumstances : Upon gaining "Name" level title a character does not require training at every level. It is only required for these conditions : Training expenses are broken down as follows : Examples :

Masterwork Weapons

A standard weapon can be crafted by a weapon smith in a few days to a week. Special weapons, with non-magical bonuses to hit or damage, take longer and cost more than the standard. The base numbers for these upgrades are listed here :

Weapon Upgrade Benefit Time to Craft Price Range
Sharp, Heavy or Balanced +1 to hit OR damage 4 weeks 8 to 12 x base
Extra Heavy or EWxtra Sharp +2 damage 8 weeks 16 to 24 x base
Sharp or Heavy and Balanced +1 to hit AND damage 12 weeks 24 to 36 x base
Extra Sharp or Extra Heavy AND Balanced +1 to hit AND +2 damage 20 to 24 weeks 40 to 60 x base

Rael's Arrow Spells

Here are the special rules regarding the number of Rael's arrows any wizard can have active at any one time.

When cast, each Rael's arrow spell enchants a number of arrows. Some spells enchant one (1), others enchant a number based on the level of the wizard. There is an active upper limit of available arrows any wizard can have active at any one time. That limit is defined as follows :

Common Weapon Skill Application

In most cases, every weapon requires a PC to spend one Weapon Skill to learn how to use it properly, thus negating the 'Non-Weapon Proficiency Penalty'. However, some weapons perform as a 'family' and can be used in a similar fashion requiring only one skill to enable to use of a number of weapons. That list is detailed here :
